Rushia Hare Cantrell

On the early morning of September 14, 2011 our beloved angel Rushia Marie Hare Cantrell went home to be with her Lord and Savior. Mrs. Cantrell was born on April 14, 1918 in Arden, NC a daughter of the late Cornelius Hare and Hattie Baldwin Hare. She had lived most of her life in Caswell County, NC. Mrs. Cantrell had retired from the former Royal Textiles of Yanceyville where she had worked as inspector. She attended the Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church of Yanceyville. Mrs. Cantrell loved working in her flowers, cooking and reading. She was a special ?nana? to all who knew her. On February 11, 1939 she was married to Clyde Ray Cantrell who died on February 21, 2004 after 65 years of marriage. Mrs. Cantrell is survived by one daughter Faye Cantrell McCain & husband Harold, three granddaughters Angela Turner, Deana Holmes, Lisa Webster & husband Gary, Five great grandchildren Jonathan Williamson, Cory Webster, Jennifer Holmes, Megan Turner and Casey Webster all of Yanceyville, NC., one foster daughter Ana Asturias & husband Edgar and son Andres & Gabby of Greensboro, NC, one sister in law Henrietta Hare of Ashville, NC and a host of nieces & nephews. Along with her husband & parents Mrs. Cantrell was predeceased by five brothers Harley Hare, Bill Hare, Lawrence Hare, Richard Hare & Alex Hare, five sisters, Annie Lance, Fannie Whitaker, Sue Hare, Doshia Cairnes & Pearl Bryson. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, September 16, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. from the Graveside in the Calvary Episcopal Church Cemetery in Fletcher, NC by the Reverend Scott Lynch and W.C. Hare. Visitation will follow the service. The family will receive friends on Thursday night from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Wrenn-Yeatts Memorial Funeral Home in Yanceyville, NC and at other times be at the residence of her daughter Faye & Harold McCain 183 Pemberton Street in Yanceyville, NC 27379. The family request that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to the Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church, 59 Pleasant Grove Church Road, Yanceyville, NC 27379 or to Alamance/Caswell Hospice 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
