Anna Dalton Cook

Anna Dalton Cook, 88, of Danville, departed this life on Friday, February 12, 2021 at Roman Eagle Health & Rehabilitation Center. Anna was born in Pittsylvania County, VA on May 28, 1932 a daughter of the late Ruben Dalton and Bettie Neal Dalton. Anna worked as a Cook for People’s Drug Store and Big Daddy’s and was a waitress for Mary’s Dinner. She was a member of Greenpond Baptist Church. On January 28, 1948 she married James Irvin Cook, who passed of January 21, 1964. Survivors include two sons, Randy Cook (Vickie), Steve Cook (Donna), a daughter-in-law, Susan Cook, three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by a son, Jerry Cook, two brothers, B.D. and Ed Dalton, and six sisters, Gladys D. Pugh, Dorothy D. Newman, Marie D. Carter, Barbara D. Shelton, Rachel D. Dowdy, and Shirley D. Carter. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 2:00 PM from the graveside at Highland Burial Park conducted by the Rev. Mike Wiles. Wrenn-Yeatts North Main Chapel is serving the Cook family.
