Barry Lee Haley

January 17, 1963 - April 4, 2022

Barry Lee Haley, 59, of 4941 Whispering Pines Road Cascade, VA died surrounded by his family on Monday, April 4, 2022 at his residence after a two year battle with cancer. Barry was born in Danville, VA on January 17, 1963, a son of the late James Lee Haley. and Peggy Ann Kendrick Haley. He spent all of his life in the Cascade and Pittsylvania County areas and proudly served his country from 1984 to 1992 in the United States Army. Barry was employed as a dump truck driver for Morris Trucking until he became disabled and unable to work any longer. In his spare time, he enjoyed the outdoors. On May 2, 1994 he married Joyce Ann Powell Haley who survives of the residence. Survivors include a daughter, Shannon Nicole Haley (Zane Knight) of Cascade VA., two sons, Christopher Lee Haley (Cassie) of Chatham VA., Coy Leonard Simmons III of Cascade VA., a brother, Elton Todd Haley of Greensboro NC, and Five grandsons Matthew, Wesley, Wyatt Michael and Gunner A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at 4:00 PM at the Wrenn-Yeatts Westover Chapel with Pastor Austin Merricks officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service and at other times at the residence.
