Dennis Glenn Richardson

February 1, 1963 - January 25, 2022

Dennis Glenn Richardson, 58, of 800 Ringgold Rd went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 25, 2022 at Duke University Hospital. Dennis was born in Danville, VA on February 1, 1963 a son of the late Robert Kelly Richardson and Annie Tate Richardson. Dennis was a graduate of Dan River High School class of 1981. He was employed by APAC Paving Company for 33 years prior to going to work for Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. He was an active member of Lakewood Community Church where he assisted with the grounds keeping, maintenance of the church and anything else that he could assist with. On July 18, 1987, he married Kimberly Cocke Richardson, who survives of the residence. Survivors also include two brothers, Robert Kelly “Bob” Richardson, Jr. (Donna), Ronald Dean “Big Bird” Richardson (Deloris), a sister, Carolyn Tate Weatherford (Tommy), his loving companion, Murrel, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Lakewood Community Church with the Rev. Ryan Call officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Burial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:30-3:00 PM at the Church and at other times at the residence of his nephew, Robbie and Donna Richardson, 1037 Ringgold Depot Rd., Ringgold, VA. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to Lakewood Community Church, 129 Clarks Mill Road, Ringgold, VA or to Ringgold Fire & Rescue, P.O. Box 10, Ringgold, VA 24586.
