Eliza Lou Lawson Huff

Eliza Lou Lawson Huff, 78, of Blanch, NC, died on Monday, February 15, 2021, at SOVAH Health-Danville, after a decline in health for the past six months. Mrs. Huff was born on February 8, 1943, in Danville, VA, a daughter of the late Carl Howard Lawson and the late Annie Virginia Sherill Lawson. She lived all of her life in the Danville, VA, and Caswell County, NC, areas where she worked for Dan River Mills, Inc., until her retirement. In her spare time, she enjoyed art and animals, especially feeding her beloved birds. She was of the Baptist Faith. She was married to Edward Lee Huff, who survives of the residence. She is survived by a daughter, Falina Long, of Providence, NC; a son, Edwin Lee Huff (Christy), of Raleigh, NC; a granddaughter, Amber Long, of Raleigh, NC; a sister, Rachel Patton (Thomas), of Danville, VA; a brother, John Lawson (Virginia), of Providence, NC; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Ruby Bowman; and a brother, Charles Lawson. A service will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at 2:00 PM from the graveside in Floral Hills Memory Gardens with the Reverend Carl E. Burger officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY, 10016.
