Helen Sunshine Spicer Ingram, 86, of Danville, VA, died on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at SOVAH Health-Danville, after a decline in health for the past month. Mrs. Ingram was born in Pelham, NC, on December 6, 1932, a daughter of the late Hollis Spicer and the late Inez Roberts Spicer. She lived most of her life in the Danville area and retired from Dan River Mills, Inc. She was a member of Westover Baptist Church. She had a compassionate heart and a love for helping others. She will be remembered by her family as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Moulton Junior Ingram; a daughter, Judy I. Doss; two sons, Stewart Dean Ingram (Julia) and Anthony Moulton Ingram (Stephanie); five grandchildren, Elizabeth Jennings (Jay), Meredith Nicoletti (Chris); Jared Doss (Jennifer), Olivia Ingram, and William Ingram; three step-grandchildren, Trey, Olivia, and Caleb Collins; six great grandchildren, Jacob Adkins, Vincent Nicoletti, Lucas Nicoletti, Sofia Nicoletti, Jake Doss, and Jennabeth Doss; a sister, Shirley Griffin; and a brother, Curtis Spicer. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three brothers, Irvin, Raymond, and Fred Spicer. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2019, at 2:00 PM from the Wrenn-Yeatts Westover Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Doug Barber and the Rev. Robert Vermillion officiating. Interment will follow in Schoolfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:30-1:45 PM at the funeral home and at other times will be at the residence of her daughter, 200 Westhaven Dr., Danville, VA, 24541. Wrenn-Yeatts Westover Chapel is serving the Ingram family.
