Joseph Michael Boyles

Joseph Michael Boyles, 43, of 2344 Riverside Drive, Danville, VA, died Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at SOVAH Health of Danville after a decline in his health for the past seven years and a resident of Riverside Health and Rehab for the past eight months. Joseph was born in Danville, VA, on November 26, 1978, a son of Ronald Lee Boyles and the late Janis Leigh Motley Boyles. He lived his entire life in Danville, VA. He worked at McDonald’s, Ballou Park, in the Maintenance Dept. He attended The Life Church, formerly the Abundant Life World Outreach Church. Joseph was a Championship Skateboarder, and a 3rd Degree Black Belt with Jeff McGregor’s American Karate School. Joseph is survived by his father, Ronald Lee Boyles, of Danville, VA; a sister, Amy Vasser of Blairs, VA; three nephews, Landyn Vasser, Cameron Vasser, and Conner Vasser, and a niece, Alexandria Vasser, all of Blairs, VA; a paternal aunt, Gayle Montgomery; a paternal uncle, Douglas Boyles (Vickie); a maternal uncle, Pastor Bill Motley (Pastor Sharon Motley); maternal aunt, Gail Greer; and eight cousins. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at the Wrenn-Yeatts Westover Chapel with Pastor Bill Motley officiating. Interment will follow the service in Danville Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday June 17, 2022 at the funeral home from 12:30 until 2:00 P.M.
