Judy Ann Burns Beverly, 63, of Keeling went home to be with her Lord on Monday, March 7, 2022 at Lynchburg General Hospital after being in declining health for the last six weeks. Judy was born in Danville, VA on November 10, 1958, a daughter of the late Franklin Lee Burns and Elsie Geraline Hall Burns. She spent all of her life in the Danville and Pittsylvania County areas where she was a homemaker. She attended Gospel Worship Center and she was known for her good cooking. Besides cooking, she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. On October 3, 2020 she married Howard F. Weikle, Jr., who survives of the residence. In addition to her husband, Judy is survived by her children, William Melvin Hammack (Lacey) of Yakima, Washington, Waylon Gene Hammack (Jennifer) of Keeling, VA, Crystal Gayle Barker (David) of Ringgold, VA, and Shanon Marie Barnett (Rodney) of Danville, VA; brothers, Dennis Burns (Roxanne) of Ringgold, VA, Danny Ray Burns (Cindy) of Danville, VA, Michael Burns of Danville, VA and Douglas Burns (Constance) of Keeling, VA; grandchildren, McKayla Gayle Barker, Gabrielle N. Barker, Victoria Faith Barker, Rodney Eugene “Fatman” Barnett ,III, Gavyn N. Barnett, Melanie Alanna Barnett, Chase William Barnett, Faith Lilly Hammack, Wyatt Gene Hammack, Jaylon Naron, and Zoey Thompson; great grandchildren, Mason Cole Shelton and a great granddaughter on the way; and three step-sons, Howard F. Weikle III, Michael Christopher Weikle, and Joshua Andrew Weikle. She was predeceased by her parents and her grandson, David A. Barker, Jr. A graveside service will be conducted on Friday, March 11, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Barker/Evans Family Cemetery at 8676 Old Richmond Road Keeling , VA 24566 with Pastor John Meadows officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday night from 6PM to 8PM at the Wrenn-Yeatts North Main Chapel and at other times the family will be at the residence of her daughter, Crystal Barker at 877 Dogpatch Lane, Ringgold, VA 24586. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial donations can be made to the Danville/Pittsylvania County Cancer Association. Wrenn-Yeatts North main Chapel is respectfully serving the family.
