Judy Pruitt Davis

Judy Pruitt Davis, 76, of Danville, VA, departed this life on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at her residence. Born in Danville, VA, on April 2, 1945, a daughter of the late Wilmer and Mamie Neal Pruitt. Judy was raised in Providence, NC, and was a graduate of Cobb Memorial High School. She along with her husband Wayne owned and operated Danview Restaurant until 2017, where her customers referred to her as “Mrs. Judy.” She was a member of Riverview Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Wayne Davis; two daughters, Laura Ann Davis and Jennifer D. Hodges (Mike); three sisters, Nancy P. Hill, Mary P. Snead, and Patsy P. Adams (Buddy); a brother, Mike Pruitt (Pat); her two beloved grandchildren, Ashley Murphy (Hunter), Zachary Green; and a great-grandson, Noah Murphy. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a sister, Cathy P. Griffin. A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Wrenn-Yeatts Westover Chapel with the Rev. Duane Blevins officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to the Danville Life Saving Crew. Wrenn-Yeatts Westover Chapel is serving the Davis family.
