Linda Pruitt Scearce, 71 of Danville, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 19, 2021 after a decline in health for the past three years. Born in Rockingham County, NC on July 21, 1950 she was a daughter of the late Hansford Pruitt and Oscillee Stanley Pruitt. Survivors include a daughter, Courtney Dowdy (Bill), of Ringgold, a son Brian Scearce (Autumn), of Cascade, a sister, Janice Ward, six grandchildren, Alex Philpott, Brayden Philpott, Jordan Dowdy, Drake Dowdy, Sophia Scearce, Saige Scearce. She is also survived by a niece, Mishael Cody, a nephew, Russell Rankin, along with numerous family members that she loved dearly. Due to the COVID Pandemic a memorial service will be held at a later date. Wrenn-Yeatts North Main Chapel is serving the Scearce family.
