Marie Wilson Brumfield

Marie Wilson Brumfield, 94, of the Westover Community went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 27, 2022. Born in Pittsylvania County, VA on January 7, 1928 a daughter of the late James Anderson Wilson and Gracie Dyer Wilson. Marie was a retired seamstress from Southern Mills Drapery Shop and was of the Primitive Baptist faith. On February 22, 1951 she married James Howard Brumfield, who passed on March 13, 2004. Survivors include a number of nieces and nephews. She was the last survivor of her generation being predeceased by two sisters, Cornelia W. Critz, Mabel Lee W. Moss, and four brothers, James, Noel “Bud”, Perry and Herman Wilson. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 31, 2022 at 2:00 PM from the graveside at Highland Burial Park with Pastor Mike Lewis officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Southern Area Agency on Aging. Wrenn-Yeatts Westover Chapel is serving the Brumfield family.
