Michael Arvin Dalton Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Michael Arvin Dalton, 72 of Danville, VA departed this life on Monday, June 27, 2022 after a decline in health for the past year. Born in Danville, VA on October 20, 1949 a son of the late Edgar Royal Dalton and Rachel Lee Wiles Dalton. He was a graduate of George Washington High School Class of 1968. He was a member of the Danville REACT with a CB handle of Witchita Lineman. Mike retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company after 30 years of service. He served in the US Army and was a member of Third Avenue Congregational Christian Church. On June 20, 1970, he married Melinda Gates Dalton, who survives. Survivors also include a daughter, Jamie D. Arca (JR), a brother, Alan Dalton (Pat), a sister, Cheryl Merricks (David). Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 1, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Wrenn-Yeatts Westover Chapel with the Rev. Garry Gates officiating. Interment will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Wrenn-Yeatts Westover Chapel.
