Mildred Lois Eaton Davidson, 90, of Danville, VA, died on Friday, November 27, 2020 at Piney Forest Health and Rehab after a decline in health for the past two years. She was born on July 7, 1930, in Danville, VA, a daughter of the late Jesse H. Eaton and the late Lillie Eaton Cooper. She spent all of her life in the Danville area where she worked for 31 years for Sears and Roebucks until her retirement. She was a charter member of the First Independent Methodist Church. She was a member of the Ladies Auxillary of the Mount Hermon Fire Department. She also volunteered at God’s Storehouse. She was married to James R. Davidson, Jr., who died on August 16, 1999. She is survived by four children, J.R. Davidson, III (Rose), of Boones Mill, VA, Charles Davidson, of Axton, VA, Timothy R. Davidson (Sheila) of Keeling, VA, and Carroll Davidson, of Danville, VA; two grandchildren, Kimberly Wiles and J.R. “Jamie” Davidson, IV (Carrie); four great grandchildren, Harrison Wiles, Kennedy Wiles, J.R. “L.J.” Davidson, V, and Norah Davidson; a brother, Eldridge Eaton, of Killeen, TX; and a sister, Dorothy Barker, of Lynchburg, VA. A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 30, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. from the graveside in Danville Memorial Gardens with the Reverend David Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the funeral home from 12:30 to 1:30 PM and at other times, the family will be at the residence of her son, Timothy Davidson, 813 Oak Grove Rd., Keeling, VA, 24566. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Mt. Herman Fire Department, 4268 Franklin Turnpike, Danville, VA, 24540 or to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL, 60601. Wrenn-Yeatts Westover Chapel is respectfully serving the Davidson family.
