Perry Van Langford

Perry Van Langford, 67, of 86 Schoolfield Dr., Danville, VA, went Home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at SOVAH Health-Danville, after a decline in health for the past five years. Mr. Langford was born in Danville, VA, on October 4, 1954, a son of the late Kelly Hugh Langford and Beatrice Adkins Langford, who survives. He spent most of his life in the Danville area where he worked for Dan River Mills, Inc. until his retirement. He attended Westover Hills Pentecostal Holiness Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed vacations to the beach with his family and going fishing. He also enjoyed classic cars and Harley-Davidson motorcycles. On March 16, 1973, he married Deborah Strader Langford, who survives of the residence. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a step-mother, Fleta Mabe Langford; a daughter, Tracy Shambley (Mark); a son, John Kelly Langford; five grandchildren, Brittany Lowe (Zachary), Amber Herald (Chad), Hannah Shambley, Blailyn Langford, and Laila Langford; four great grandchildren, Weston Lowe, Caroline Lowe, Cypress Herald, and Cade Herald; a great granddaughter on the way; and two sisters, Esther Hall and Tammy Sicignano (Stephen). In addition to his father, he was predeceased by two brothers, Jerry Langford and Richard “Boo-Boo” Langford; and his beloved companion, Chip. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Wrenn-Yeatts Westover Chapel with Pastor Stephen White officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service and at other times will be at the residence. Wrenn-Yeatts Westover Chapel is serving the Langford family.
