Rebecca Sue Totherow

November 21, 1957 - May 20, 2022

Rebecca Sue Totherow, 64, of 1554 North Jamerson Rd, Danville, VA died on Friday, May 20, 2022 at Sovah Health in Danville, after being in declining health for several months. Rebecca was born in on November 21, 1957, a daughter of the late Hugh Vernon Totherow, Sr. and Charlene Morgan Totherow Tiemann. She enjoyed playing tennis in the early years of her life and also enjoyed bowling. She was a very thoughtful person who loved to send cards on any occasion, even if it was just a card to say “Thank You” for doing something nice for her. Her favorite fruit was strawberries. In addition to her parents, Rebecca was predeceased by her brothers, Dwight Totherow, Hugh Totherow, Jr., and Alex Totherow. Survivors include her sisters, Cathy Long and Letricia Thornton (Larry) both of Providence, NC; her brother, Martin Totherow of the residence; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 29, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM in the fellowship hall at Shady Oak Baptist Church in Providence, NC and on Saturday, May 28, 2022 the family will be at the residence of her sister, Letricia Thornton, 1746 Walters Mill Road, Providence, NC 27315. In lieu of flowers the family suggest that memorial donations be made to the Danville/Pittsylvania County Cancer Association at 223 Riverview Dr., Suite J, Danville, VA 24541.
