Sharon Brumfield Mendoza Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Sharon Brumfield Mendoza, 53, of 4984 Mount Tabor Road, Keeling, VA, died Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at her residence after a decline in her health since 2016. Sharon was born in Halifax, VA on April 15, 1966, a daughter of Jefferson Darrell Brumfield and the late Lena Collie Brumfield. She lived most of her life in Keeling, VA and she retired, due to disability, from Intertape Polymer where she worked as a forklift operator. Sharon was a member of Hope Church. She enjoyed traveling, going to the beach, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her father, of Keeling, VA, she is survived by three daughters, Alicia Medrano (Jay) of Blairs, VA, Patricia Valencia of Keeling, VA, and Veronica Valencia of Keeling, VA; a son, Junior Valencia of Keeling, VA; and two grandchildren, Natalie Medrano and Aleiyah Medrano, both of Blairs, VA. She was predeceased by her mother, and by a brother, Jefferson Brumfield, Jr. The family is aware that there are many people who would like to attend her funeral, however, due to the constraints of public gatherings during the COVID-19 outbreak, there will be a memorial service at a later date.
