Sherri Dailey Wright

December 3, 1967 - June 1, 2022

Sherri Dailey Wright, 54, of 175 Fox Lair Trail, Semora, NC went home to be with the Lord on June 1, 2022 at U.N.C. Chapel Hill. Sherri was born in Danville, Va. on December 3, 1967, a daughter of Phyllis and Van Barker and Graham and June Dailey. Sherri was a graduate of Person Senior High School, Class of 1986 and also a graduate of Averett University with a degree in Accounting. She had lived all of her life in Caswell and Person counties. Sherri was employed at Caswell Insurance Services, Inc. as Office Manager/Treasurer. She was an active member of Semora United Methodist Church where she served as Sunday School Superintendent. She was an avid supporter of the Humane Society and she loved all animals. On July 21, 1990, Sherri married Wallace J. Wright who survives of the residence. She is also survived by three brothers, Irvin G. Dailey (Janice), Nathan Barker (Leslie), Shannon Barker (Landon), one sister, Jo Anne Honeycutt (Barry), five nieces, Carmen Bracey, Katelyn Honeycutt, Carla Winstead, Samantha Barker, Kensington Barker, six nephews, Trey Wright, Mason Dailey, Grant Dailey, Conner Martin, Van Barker, Zack Barker, two God children, Merredith Metzger (Sabastian) and Sloane Metzger, her beloved dog “Dub” and many other 4 legged “children.” Sherri had a heart of gold, love for family, a strong love of animals, vivacious smile, boundless energy, and was very courageous. She always wanted to be home in her bed at night. A Celebration of Life for Sherri will be conducted on Sunday, June 5, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Semora United Methodist Church, 14515 NC 119 Semora, NC 27343 by the Rev. Ross Thompson and Rev. Ryan Gabriel. The family will receive friends at the Church prior to the service from 1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family suggest that memorial donations may be made to the Animal Protection Society of Caswell County, P O Box 193, Yanceyville, N.C.27379 or the Semora Volunteer Fire Department, P O Box 54, Semora, N.C. 27343 or to the Semora Ruritan Club, ico Wayne Barker, 16631 NC Hwy N, Semora, N.C. 27343.
