Timothy Dee

October 24, 1957 - January 20, 2022

Timothy (Tim) King Dee, 64, of 952 Slade Road, Blanch, NC went home to be with the Lord on January 20, 2022 at SOVAH, Danville. He was born in Durham, NC on October 24, 1957, a son of the late Tom Edward Dee and Alyce King Dee. Tim grew up in Danville, VA and settled in Caswell County. He was a graduate of George Washington High School, Class of 1976. Tim had retired after 30 years of service with the City of Danville Fire Department, Station, # 6. He was of Protestant Faith. Tim served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1983 – 1987. He was a dedicated Boy Scout Leader along with Alvin Foster for Yanceyville Troop 325. He is survived by his wife, Karen Atkinson Dee, children Ian A. Dee and wife Stacy of Burlington, NC, Megan Dee Tucker and husband Chris of Daleville, VA., Bram C. Dee of the residence, one brother, Patrick Dee and wife Diane of Palm Coast, FL., two sisters, Robin Hudson and husband Irby of Lynchburg, VA, Julie Fogelstrom and husband Jim of Florida, eight grandchildren, Morgan Dee, Dakota Dee, Spencer Dee, Karen Dee, Hope Barts, Lilith Dee, Ethan Tucker, Laiken Tucker and chosen family members Mel Lung Tu, Guy and Gina Barry (father & daughter), Dennis Alverson, Ted Bradner, Justin Taylor, Alvin Foster, Sara and husband, Graham Broadwell, Cathy Bell, and the entire City Of Danville Fire Department Family, three cats, Biscuit, Baxter and Binx (sidekick – better known as “Fluffy”). Tim was a collector of sporting equipment. He enjoyed hunting and fishing although he hadn’t been hunting in several years. Tim loved trains, old cars, owls, sunflowers and was an avid fan of James Bond 007. He enjoyed the Blue Ridge Parkway and traveling with Karen. The family will receive friends at the residence on Saturday, January 29, 2022 from 12:00 – 5:00 P.M. A private Memorial Service will be held at a later date. The family suggest that in lieu of flowers that donations may be made to either Caswell Pet Lifeline or City of Danville Fire Department Toy Drive. “God give us strength and bless all for the donations and prayers.” Wrenn-Yeatts Yanceyville is respectfully serving the Dee family.
