Trey David Stevens

June 2, 1996 - February 6, 2022

Trey David Stevens, 25, of Danville passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born in Danville, VA on June 2, 1996 a son of Gerald Newman Stevens, II and Leslie Doss Stevens. Trey was employed by WoodWick Candles at the time of his death. He was a member of Kentuck Baptist Church. Trey never met a stranger and had a contagious smile for everyone. He loved his family and friends fiercely and never let them forget it. He always said “I love you” when leaving, hanging up the phone or sometimes walking into another room. He will be so missed. He is now fishing with his pop and eating blackberry pie with Nannie. Survivors in addition to his parents include a brother, Collin B. Stevens, his girlfriend, Casey Dinicola, a maternal grandfather, Kenneth Doss, a paternal grandmother, Betty Jean Stevens, a special cousin, Matt Tate who was like a brother to him, and a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is also survived by his beloved cats, Taz and Beans. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Norma Jean Doss, and his paternal grandfather, Jerry Stevens. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Kentuck Baptist Church with the Rev. Bobby Shields officiating. Interment will follow in the Ingram Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at Kentuck Baptist Church and at the residence at other times. Wrenn-Yeatts North Main Chapel is serving the Stevens family.
