Vickie Diane Hamlett

Vickie Diane Hamlett, 72, of 3035 Yarboroughs Mill Road, Milton, NC went home to be with the Lord on May 4, 2022 at Person Memorial Hospital, Roxboro, NC after several years of declining health. Vickie was born in Danville, Virginia on November 15, 1949, daughter of the late Jack S. Craig and Helen Rickman Gibbons. She lived most of her life in the Milton community of Caswell County. Vickie was employed with the Brian Center of Yanceyville where she worked as a dietary cook until her retirement due to her health. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church on Yarboroughs Mill Road, Milton, NC where she was a member of the church choir. Vickie loved and took wonderful care of her family and dearly loved her grandchildren. On February 24, 1969, Vickie married Arnold James (A.J.) Hamlett who survives of the residence. She is also survived by two sons, Arnold James (Jamie) Hamlett II and wife Michelle of Milton, Samuel C. (Sam) Hamlett and wife Bethany of Milton, five grandchildren, Brittany Hamlett, Dylan Hamlett, Phillip Hamlett, Timothy Hamlett and Toby Hamlett; one sister, Helen Ann Allen of Georgia. She was predeceased by her parents and one brother, Steve Craig. Funeral services for Vickie will be conducted on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church, 1760 Yarboroughs Mill Road, Milton, NC 27305 by the Reverend Rusty Oliver. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 6, 2022 from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. at Wrenn-Yeatts Funeral Home, 877 Main Street, Yanceyville NC and at other times they will be at the residence, 3035 Yarboroughs Mill Road, Milton, NC 27305. Wrenn-Yeatts Yanceyville is respectfully serving the Hamlett family.
