Frances Farmer

Frances Farmer, 74, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, after a courageous battle of cancer and decline in health for the past nine months. Frances was born in Wilmington, Delaware, on May 9, 1952, to the late William E. Walls and Lucille Drozdowski Walls. Frances spent the majority of her life in Delaware. She also lived in New York and Florida for a short period of time. Frances was a graduate of Newark High School, and a recent graduate of Charis Bible College in Colorado, Class of 2025. She was self employed as a truck driver, where even in retirement, she used her career to benefit others. Frances was a devout member of White Oak Worship Center, where she also worked as the church receptionist. She had a true servant’s heart and was deeply involved in mission work, traveling to Albania, Guatemala, and Mexico to serve others on mission trips. Frances was a former tractor trailer driver for God’s Pit Crew and volunteered her time driving for God’s Storehouse. She also helped to start the Bay Shore feeding program in Gumboro, Delaware. Frances had a huge heart for those in need, especially the homeless, and found great joy in helping others. On December 13, 1979, Frances married James Farmer, who predeceased her on July 8, 2009. Frances is survived by her daughters, Cody Rojas (David), and Melanie Wagner; grandchildren, Quinn Clagg (Fiancé Eli), Dillon Rojas, Autumn Rojas, Nathan Rojas, Ricky Wagner, Jackson Wagner and Leah Wagner; great-grandson, Braxton Goard; sisters, Lynne Arcara, Jan Davis and Christine Mitchell. In addition to her parents and husband, Frances was predeceased by her brothers, Marc Walls, Warren Walls; and her former husband, Paul Gardner. A Celebration of Life Service for Frances will be conducted on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at 6:00 P.M. at White Oak Worship Center. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to their hospice nurse, Laura Swift, for her kindness, compassion, and care during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to the White Oak Worship Center Building Fund, 8465 US Hwy 29, Blairs, VA 24527.
