Karen Mansfield Hylton

Karen Leigh Mansfield Hylton, 59, of 8467 Martinsville Hwy, Danville, VA passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at her residence. Karen was born in Danville, VA on February 7, 1966, a daughter of the late Walter Dodson Mansfield and Charlotte Hinton Mansfield. She spent all of her life in the Danville area where she was a homemaker. She had a passion for art and painting and was a talented cook. Her greatest joy, however, came from spending time with and spoiling her granddaughters and her dog, Bullet. On November 24, 1983 she married the love of her life, Wayne Lynn Hylton, Jr. In addition to her husband, Karen is survived by her daughter, Jessica Davenport and her husband, Quincy; her grandchildren, Sadie and Savannah; her nephew, Nicholas Clark and his wife Ashley and their children, Mason and Harper; her mother-in-law, June Hylton, and her brother-in-law Ronnie Hylton and his wife Angie, and their children, Amitie and Walker. She was predeceased by her parents, father-in-law Wayne Hylton Sr., and her sister, Donna Kaye Moss. A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at the Wrenn-Yeatts Westover with Pastor Don Reynolds officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that memorial donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the Danville Humane Society at 996 South Boston Rd, Danville, VA 24540.
